I love being invited to share in special moments such as a wedding, or a family enjoying each other. Last week I was asked to document the celebration of a life well lived, a funeral for a lady from my church. It’s hard to describe exactly how that day felt. It was an honour to be asked and to do it for the family. It was a bit scary. It felt a bit unusual as I haven’t seen a lot of funeral photography out there. But being there with the family from start to finish that day, surrounded with sadness and laughter, was also an amazing experience. I know it’s not something everyone may want to see, but here is a slideshow of the day. There are no images of the deceased.
Brenda, we’ll miss you.
